Jim graduated from Saint Ambrose University in 1970 with a Bachelors in Accounting and earned his CPA certification in 1973. Jim’s career combines extensive knowledge in both the regulatory and industry sectors. It includes public accounting experience in the 1970’s where he was involved in the initial conversion from SAP to GAAP accounting for several life insurance companies. Jim served in the regulatory unit of the Illinois Insurance Department of Insurance for three years and was director of financial services for the NAIC for five years.

Jim also served in various senior management positions with several insurers specializing in commercial high-risk, reinsurance and excess and surplus lines business.
Jim brings an expertise in underwriting, reinsurance, brokerage, inter-company transactions, and reserve adequacy to NCS. Currently, Jim is a senior consultant for
NCS and specializes in high-risk examination areas.
